The 4th quarter 2011 continued to see improving home sales in Salt Lake County, with 2337 homes sold, a pop of nearly 20% compared to the 4th quarter 2010. Even with this increase, the local real estate market continued to come under pressure from relatively high number of short sales and bank owned homes. This forced the median single family home price down to $193,500.
