1st Quarter 2016 Home Prices
The Salt Lake County housing market continued its upward climb in the 1st quarter 2016. Two of the 3 key market indicators showed positive signs, with the median sales price of a single family home increasing 7.38%, and the time taken to sell a home falling over 45%. The one indicator that did not improve was the number of home sales, which fell 2.85%. This fall could be due to the tightening inventory levels; after all if fewer homes are listed you might expect fewer sales.
